Ryan Place legends award
Ryan Place neighbors approved a package of amendments to the Ryan Place Improvement Association (RPIA) bylaws in November 2023, to create the Ryan Place Legends Award.
On even numbered years, the President is authorized to appoint an Awards Committee for the purpose of honoring a Ryan Place resident who has made significant contributions to the improvement of the Ryan Place neighborhood and community through service and/or advocacy. In addition, the individual must:
have been a resident of Ryan Place for at least 10 years,
not be a current member of the Association’s Board of Directors or Awards Committee,
not be a past recipient of the award.
The Awards Committee is composed of the Association President, Vice-President, a Director appointed by the President, a Street Representative appointed by the President, and a non-board member. In future years, previous Ryan Place Legends Award winners who wish to participate will also be invited to join the Committee. It’s important that our community formally honor and recognize individuals who make significant contributions to Ryan Place.
We are seeking nominations from the community for the Committee to consider, and those nominations will be due on September 30th. All residents are eligible to make nominations. The individual selected will be honored in a special presentation at the RPIA General Meeting in November.
