In November of 2023, the Ryan Place Improvement Association (RPIA) amended its bylaws to include the addition of an awards program named the Ryan Place Legends Award. On even numbered years, the President is authorized to appoint an Awards Committee for the purpose of honoring a Ryan Place resident who has made significant contributions to the improvement of the Ryan Place neighborhood and community through service and/or advocacy. In addition, the individual must:
have been a resident of Ryan Place for at least 10 years,
not be a current member of the Association’s Board of Directors or Awards Committee,
not be a past recipient of the award.
The Awards Committee is composed of the Association President, Vice-President, a Director appointed by the President, a Street Representative appointed by the President, and a non-board member. Previous Ryan Place Legends Award winners who wish to participate are also invited to join the Committee.
